Traditional Fado Concert
Like Tango, Fado cannot be defined or explained.
You have to feel it. And you have to live it.

Fado was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2011, a distinction that Tango received in 2009, both being forms of urban cultural expression.
The Portuguese Guitar, the Fado Guitar and the Fadistas mirror in their sounds and poems the authenticity of the Portuguese people's feelings, the stories of everyday life, loves and dislikes, hope and anguish. And "saudade".

We offer you the experience of authentic Traditional Fado, inviting you on a journey through the purest expression of the Portuguese soul.
The starting point will be the Ideal Clube de Fado, a unique venue whose mission is to preserve and defend Traditional Fado.
The end of this journey will remain with each person who decides to walk its existence.
Just as we do in Tango.

Important Information
The Traditional Fado concert is optional and is not included in the price of Porto Tango Mood 2025.
It will last approximately one hour and costs €15 (includes a complimentary glass of Port wine).
If you wish to attend, you must tick the corresponding box on the Event registration form.

​ There is a minimum limit of 30 participants for the Concert to take place. If this cannot be done, the entrance fee will be refunded.
